This briefing, written for the Food Foundation, explores how investors can support a transition towards healthy, affordable, and sustainable diets in the UK. It explores the importance of moving from a siloed to a systems approach when making investment decisions, which allows for better assessment and management of cumulative risks and opportunities and potential trade-offs faced by the food industry.
It also gives examples of the types of trade-offs that investors confront and how investors can manage and/or mitigate risks associated with them.
Farm to Fork: Systemic Change is key to European Food Security, May 2023
Accelerating the transition to sustainable farming and healthy diets
This policy briefing, written for the WWF European Policy Office, argues that a transition to agroecological farming production methods and a shift to healthy and sustainable diets is key to long term food security in Europe.
Ongoing pressure from farming organisations and agri-food businesses to weaken the EU Farm to Fork Strategy would not solve the current pressures on the global food supply – instead, it would move us even further away froma food system that is resilient to future shocks
